Local youth group meets weekly at The Hub Elliot Springs Wesleyan Methodist Church hosts a weekly youth group from The Hub (during school term) Fridays from 6pm - 8pm. A safe and supportive environment for teenagers to hang out with their friends, activities often include spotlight night games, pizza movie nights and ten pin bowls. Elliot Springs Baby Playgroup Calling mums, dads and carers of bubs 0-12 months, the Elliot Springs Baby Playgroup meets every Friday morning from 9am – 11am (excluding school holidays) at The Hub. The group is a supportive meeting space for new parents to share their triumphs, lessons learned, even tears, through the journey of early parenthood. Babies are able to explore new experiences and learn new skills. Bonus – there is a great café next door to get your coffee fix. The group is affiliated with Playgroup Queensland, family membership is free to sign up before your little one turns one. On the corner of Splendour Circuit, local resident Kate, has set up a Street Library on her fence. Keep an eye out for an upcoming revamp with a splash of colour to be added. Not just a book library, you’ll also find seeds that support bee pollination. There is also information on local birdlife and positivity rocks for the kids to take and hide. The Hub is your local community facility, featuring meeting and events space – a place for local not- for-profits, community groups, small businesses and residents to utilise. Managed by Essentially Fresh, who also run the café onsite, community organisations can access reduced hire rates for regular bookings. Essentially Fresh can also provide catering options to suit.
