The New Rouse Hill has been masterplanned as a walkable
community, with 32 hectares of quality parks, playgrounds and
picnic areas connected by a series of walking and cycling trails.
Located within the Mungerie Precinct, the Mungerie Playground
is an all abilities playground specially designed for children of
varying ages and abilities. A unique feature of the playground is
the oversized python sculptures that snake their way through the
play equipment, which includes a climbing pyramid, cubby house,
sandpits and water pump.
Neighbourhood parks are located throughout The New Rouse
Hill, and provide residents with local picnic facilities and
playgrounds close to their homes. Residents of Iron Bark also
enjoy a private pool exclusively for their own use.
When complete, Mungerie Paddock will stretch across 7,500m
2
of green open space, connecting to Caddies Creek. As well as
providing open space and grassed kick around areas, Mungerie
Paddock incorporates wetlands as part of The New Rouse Hill’s
Water Sensitive Urban Design program.
