A prestigious accolade, 25 King was recognised as the winner of the Property Council of Australia’s 2020 Innovation and Excellence Awards for the Development Innovation category. This award recognises innovation that creates significant advancement and improvement within a development. 25 King was also awarded the Award for Environmental Excellence at the UDIA Queensland Awards for Excellence 2020 as well as the Highly Commended Award for Superior Sustainability at the Consult Australia 2020 Awards for Excellence. A standout building on King St, 25 King is a striking expanse of timber and glass. It is Queensland’s first engineered timber commercial building and the tallest and largest (by gross floor area) in Australia. Built to demonstrate that mass timber buildings can be achieved at this scale, 25 King showcases a safe, sustainable, commercially-viable alternative to reinforced concrete construction. Age: 9 years young Breed: Boxer Humans: Chez and Ben What brings you to King St? Trullo, Ben and I enjoy coming to King St as it has a wonderful vibe, much similar to Melbourne. We love the busy atmosphere with the many cafes and bars available. It is also a bonus that most places are dog friendly and have outdoor seating available enabling Trullo to accompany us on our outings and meet many other dogs to play with. Due to King St being so close to Fortitude Valley, it allows us to grab a coffee before work or to come and relax with Trullo before going for a walk at the nearby parks. Favourite King St venue? We all enjoy King Street Bakery for the great coffee and warm mushroom quiche to accompany. They also supply puppy treats so Trullo also has a little something to look forward to as well. Would you like your fur-baby to be featured as the next Dog of King St? DM us on socials if you’re interested!
