Shoreline Community Newsletter Dec 2022

3 Halloween at Shoreline Thank you to everyone who participated in our spooky selfie competition for Halloween! Congratulations to Shane Ladynski for taking out the top prize. It was pretty spooky this year, but word on the street is that Halloween will be bigger and better next year. Kudos to the Lelliot Davies kids for dropping off the Halloween leaflets to get everyone involved. Great pics! There were some spooky trick or treaters! The Ladynski family (above) took out top prize Leanne Bolger, LeTorias Cafe owner Save the date for the Shoreline Jingeri Festival Save the date for Shoreline’s biggest celebration of the year, the Shoreline Jingeri Festival, as we officially launch the opening of Jingeri Park and the new Sales and Information Centre on Sunday 5 February 2023 from 11am! It’ll be three hours of fun-filled entertainment for the whole family including food trucks, kids activities, entertainment, live music, face painting and more. We welcome Shoreline residents and the wider community to come along and be part of this special community milestone. Freshly brewed coffee right on your doorstep! We have some exciting news to share! Shoreline’s very first coffee shop is open for business in early 2023! We can already smell the sweet aroma of coffee and freshly baked treats. Bringing her renowned coffee to our neighbourhood, Redland Bay icon, Leanne Bolger (who owns LeTorias cafe at Lagoon View Nursery) is setting up shop in Shoreline. “We have very loyal customers at LeTorias whom we absolutely love. They have supported us from the beginning which was 5 years ago now. We quietly opened the doors one weekend in October. There was no party, no fanfare, just us, a coffee machine and a delicious range of gluten free cakes,” Leanne said. “We hope to build a nice little community at Shoreline just like we have done at Lagoon View. We’ll offer the same friendly service as well as serving up our great coffee, cakes, sandwiches, that type of thing to start. “As Shoreline will mainly be takeaway rather than sit down, we will also look to add more walk friendly options like muffins, banana bread and slices, but to be honest I really want to get in there first and get a feel for what people are after.” Keep your eyes peeled on our Facebook page for more information.
