Shoreline Winter Community Newsletter

Start your next chapter at Shoreline Entry sign reflects natural beauty of Redlands Coast The Shoreline entry sign has been installed – what a way to welcome visitors to the growing community. The coastal site of Shoreline is home to a beautiful range of textures and patterns occurring naturally in tidal movements. These formations are often seen up close in sand ripples or in forms created by water movement. These undulating forms have been interpreted, abstracted and re-imagined into an integrated entry maker to the Shoreline community. Whilst big and bold, the entry wall displays a certain subtlety due to the use of neutral colours and restraint in the waving forms. In the forethought of the designer’s mind is the notion that truly beautiful things aren’t just noticed, they are sophisticated and timeless. This is reflected in the design, highlighting a simple anonymity, though careful thought went into the surface, mood and character of the sign. When viewing the new entry statement for yourself, notice the visual changes as you travel past, with some areas moving and changing as you go by. Landscaping infront and either side of the sign is planned to go in soon. Redlands charity launches jobs hub Congratulations to The Cage Youth Foundation in Redland Bay for being awarded a 2022 Lendlease Foundation Community Grant to help in their work to support disadvantaged youth and families. Linda and Paul from The Cage said their mission is to engage with Redlands youth and families experiencing disadvantages. Through obtaining this funding, they hope to expand the program across Redlands schools. As they are a self-funded and not-for-profit charity, community funding is critical to the ongoing success of their programs. The Cage have used the grant to establish a Job Access Station to give young people free access to computers, internet, printer, and a job notice board for creating and printing resumes, applying for jobs and completing admin tasks. The Lendlease Foundation Community Grants Program has been created to build a unified community with a common focus – to use a collective knowledge, skills and passion to enrich the lives of people and the community. Administered by the Community Enterprise Foundation, The Cage Youth Foundation in Redland Bay was one of the top 10 organisations selected nationally to be awarded a $10,000 grant.
