Feel connected at the Vedanta Centre Feeling stressed or isolated? Help is at hand at the Vedanta Centre which launched a range of new classes and workshops during the lead up to Queensland Mental Health Week. The gardening, yoga and craft activities are proving popular with locals and the Vedanta Centre team would love to welcome even more Springfield Rise residents. These sessions are on weekday evenings or weekends to fit into your family’s busy schedule. They are affordable too – some are free and no activity costs more than $10. Sally Kinnaird, from the Vedanta Centre, said that uncertainty caused by COVID means connection with oneself and with others is more important than ever. “In the lead up to Queensland Mental Health Week the Vedanta Centre invites all Springfield Rise residents to feel more connected by giving our activities a try,” she said. “The activities we offer can boost your physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing which is particularly important during stress that many people feel because of restrictions. “For example, even a little yoga can mean you have more energy and brighter moods. Yoga relaxes you and also helps you sleep better.” It’s easy to book, just call the Vedanta Centre on 3818 9986 .
