SPR Summer 2022 Newsletter

The festive season is just around the corner, as we welcome new residents to the neighbourhood, celebrate the year that was and look forward to a rolling calendar of community events in 2023. In this summer newsletter, we showcase the recent spooktacular Halloween Zombie Walk – hosted by YMCA Springfield Lakes, as the community came dressed in their spookiest costume. See if you can spot someone you know in the photo spread. Volunteers recently rolled up their sleeves to establish a community garden in Spring Mountain as part of Community Day. We profile our recent community grant recipients, who have exciting programs and initiatives planned for the new year. If you have any questions about events or initiatives covered in this newsletter, or are looking for a way to get involved and connected in your community, reach out: springfieldrisecommunity@lendlease.com Hello, Springfield Rise! In recognition of the ‘R U OK?’ mental health awareness day, Springfield Central State School students took part in a special chalk art competition to display messages of kindness and inclusion. The Springfield Rise Lendlease team were proud to provide a donation of chalk to encourage students to take part in the uplifting and inclusive activity. We loved reading the kind and positive designs the students wrote on the concrete for each other. Visit the Springfield Central State School Facebook page to see the full gallery of designs! https://bit.ly/ SpringfieldCentralSSFacebook Chalk art creates messages of kindness and inclusion Here's a cheerful throwback to brighten your day!
