Yarrabilba News Summer 2020

Welcome Despite the challenges of this year, there has been a huge amount of activity in Yarrabilba – with $60 million worth of new amenity currently underway. As we approach the end of the year, we are excited to open the Community Enterprise Foundation Scholarship round, specifically for residents of Yarrabilba who are seeking to undertake tertiary study in 2021. You can apply here https://bit.ly/37K8hkv and applications should be submitted by 29 January 2021. With a huge amount of activity underway as we head into the Christmas season, it is timely to reflect on road safety through this busy period. Many of us have had to adopt new habits with our travel requirements this year, and as the ‘silly season’ kicks in (and our social distancing restrictions start to ease), there are bound to be more people out and about. Sergeant Nathan Booth from our own Logan Village Yarrabilba Police Station provides some useful tips on staying safe on the roads. Finally, you will see that many of our community groups and stakeholders have done an amazing job of keeping the Christmas spirit alive in Yarrabilba. Most have had to adapt their regular events to comply with Covid-safe requirements, but that won’t stop the fun. We hope you will do your best to support all of their hard work and dedication in providing these activities for Yarrabilba residents. On behalf of the team at Lendlease, we wish your family a very safe and joyous festive season. Terry Hamilton Social Sustainability Manager terry.hamilton@lendlease.com
