Despite the current situation keeping everyone on their toes, our homegrown Yarrabilba Sports Clubs and their passionate volunteers have been going from strength to strength this past year. Our cover shot of Xavier playing in the U10s was snapped by Larissa Juliana Photography who volunteers to provide spectacular images for Yarrabilba Touch Football, proving that Clubs require a wide range of different skill sets to thrive. In this edition, you’ll find out how to sign-up for the upcoming season of your ‘sport of choice. Every little bit helps, and there are plenty of great opportunities to skill- up in coaching, event activations, community group governance & admin – the opportunities are endless. A partnership between Lendlease and the Community Enterprise Foundation. The Yarrabilba Community Grants Program, has been developed to build Yarrabilba’s capacity, create stronger local connections and support local recovery from the impacts of COVID-19. The latest round of grants saw six successful applicants receive $21,366 for local projects within the Yarrabilba community. Since the program’s inception in 2015, almost $370,000 in funds has been awarded to support grass-roots initiatives in Yarrabilba. You can read about some of these successful projects in this edition.
