Reaching for the sky More than ten years in the making, Lendlease’s commitment to Barangaroo South has seen Sydney’s iconic waterfront evolve from a disused industrial site into a multi-award-winning world-class destination founded on benchmark setting sustainability principles. One Sydney Harbour is the final piece of Barangaroo South’s transformation. Consisting of three striking, crystalline towers, One Sydney Harbour, designed by award-winning, visionary architect, Renzo Piano, will provide luxury residential apartments to rival some of the world’s best residences and capture panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and the Blue Mountains. The three stunning towers will boast 848 apartments (including Key Worker Housing) nestled amidst spectacular new parklands and serviced by shops and amenities. The towers have been designed with a revolutionary crystal-like facade. The primary facade is an operable triple-glazed unit with an open cavity and integrated automatic blind to regulate the internal environment and reduce energy consumption. The towers have also been designed to maximise ventilation and access to natural light, utilise photovoltaic cells for power generation and provide in-sinkerators for food waste disposal. The buildings are also serviced by the centralised utilities built in Barangaroo South, including Chilled Water (for air conditioning) and recycled water. Residences One, Residences Two and Watermans Residences are now structurally complete.
