Art Commissioned for One Sydney Harbour One Sydney Harbour has commissioned renowned artist Judy Watson to create four distinct artworks that will grace the lobbies of its residential towers. Known for her compelling and socially relevant pieces that often explore themes relating to her Aboriginal heritage, Watson’s works can be viewed at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and in other esteemed galleries. The commissioned pieces focus on the connection between women and water. To deepen the impact of this project, One Sydney Harbour and Watson collaborated with Mudgin-Gal Women’s Centre to host an enriching workshop in September 2023. This activity provided an invaluable platform for community interaction and creative exchange, aligning perfectly with One Sydney Harbour’s commitment to socially responsible initiatives. These unique artworks not only serve as visual centrepieces in our residential environments but also as enduring symbols of our dedication to art, community, and meaningful conversations around social themes, adding another layer to One Sydney Harbour’s ongoing engagement with art and culture.
