RESIDENT
LYNNE WRIGHT’S
FRIENDLY NATURE
IS INFECTIOUS
“THERE IS ALWAYS A GOODNESS IN PEOPLE
THAT RARELY DISAPPEARS. SOMETIMES THEY
NEED THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW IT.”
show it and that opportunity often arises
in retirement.”
Wherever Lynne has gone in life, celebration
has always followed. From her many years in
the entertainment industry to her role as the
coordinator of the social committee at The
Terraces, her life revolves around celebratory
experiences. “It’s really important to take the
things that you know and incorporate them into
your life,” she says.
Lynne, along with her very talented social
committee, organises many social events for the
retirement village, from cocktail dinners and a
weekly coffee club to live concerts and trivia
nights. She loves that everyone is willing
to join in on the fun without the fear of
judgement. “It’s an acquisition of maturing,”
says Lynne. “Nothing is a drama anymore.”
Lynne loves her extended family in the
village. While she never had any children of
her own, she’s acquired many family members
throughout her life, from her time in the
entertainment industry to her life
in the village.
Lynne believes that someone out there had a
plan for her to be a nurturer and a carer. She
knew that was her calling in life. “I’m really
lucky the creator, whoever that may be, gave
me the chance to open my arms to everyone.
I think there has to be people like that in the
world.”
Here at Lendlease, we wholeheartedly
agree with this outlook!
