The stage was set, the music pumping with a delicious barbecue dinner ready to sink your teeth into – what a night! Thank you to residents, family and friends and visitors who gathered for Springfield Rise’s second ‘Meet your Neighbour’ 2022 movie event to the screening of family-favourite, Sing 2 at Ben Nevis Park. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, connect with old friends and disconnect from our busy lives. As the sun set and the stars came out, families rolled out their rugs and set up their chairs to enjoy a night off cooking – thanks to the Spring Mountain State School P&C Association for firing up the barbecue and feeding over 100 people. A big thank you to the Springfield Scout Group who sold movie treats and satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth. Before the crowd settled in for their evening entertainment, Zeinab from The Jungle Body hosted dance fitness demonstrations, with children and adults up and busting a move.
