Residents at Waverley Country Club are working with Village Manager
John Smrk to install an automatic pool cover on their heated indoor swimming pool.
The current manual cover requires two people to cover or uncover the pool.
With residents enjoying early morning or late afternoon swims, the pool would often
be left uncovered at night, allowing heat from the pool to escape.
Significant operational savings of 60% – 70% are expected by keeping the heat
in the pool overnight, reducing energy required for ventilation and dehumidification.
Savings will be tracked and all concerned are excited to hear the results.
