“The reality is that for every 10 Indigenous students to start university,
seven never graduate. Statistically I wasn’t meant to achieve: young,
female, Aboriginal. Without the support of my university (UTS) and the
introduction to Lendlease provided by the CareerTrackers program, I
may not have come as far as I have. University is challenging and so is
a career path into the construction industry – challenges that may have
defeated me if I didn’t receive the early exposure to the industry. My
time at Lendlease has convinced me that my passion for building is real
and a career challenge worth pursuing.”
