Keperra Sanctuary Retirement Village has joined the Wildlife Conservation
Partnership Program and re-instated an 8,500m² natural environmental corridor to protect
and conserve the wildlife and habitat that is present within the village.
As part of the
Land for Wildlife
program, a vegetated waterway has been
built to provide a pathway for concentrated surface run-off. This protects the water
quality, prevents erosion and provides a beneficial insect habitat.
A grant of $25,000 has been awarded to support installations of habitat nesting boxes
to encourage possums, owls, finches and parrots to set up home.
Land for Wildlife Program
“This project will be a great goodwill opening for Lendlease, an interest piece
for residents and of course, improve the habitat for wildlife.”
