TINA SPENCER, ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR AT HIGHVALE VILLAGE,
HAS STARTED AN EDUCATION PROGRAM TO ENCOURAGE RESIDENTS TO MAKE THE
SWITCH TO ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PRODUCTS IN THEIR HOMES.
“Over the years, I have always aimed to be environmentally aware. At Highvale we
have many practices in place that we believe help the environment.
I rattled my brain for a while in order to work out what else we could do and noticed
many of our residents weren’t using environmentally friendly products.
I gathered everyday items such as dishwashing liquid, cleaning products, and so on,
all available at the local supermarket, and made a basket which I placed in the foyer.
It’s to remind residents to purchase what is good for our earth, and good for the world
they hope to leave for their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.”
