Shortly after, a 20kW system was also installed
on the serviced apartment buildings. Driven through
a collaborative effort between residents, staff and
Lendlease, everyone worked together to find the best
solar solution for the site. Since then the village has also
installed a solar powered heating system for the pool.
“Solar power savings are up to $1,000 a month for each system, and we are also
experiencing further savings from a better electricity contract accessed
through Lendlease procurement. We initially estimated the payback period to be about
five years and, from what I can currently see, that will be achieved.”
